Evidence-based practice

Not all allied health is equal. Here's what sets Avanti's standard.

Where a licensed, evidence-based program exists and the research supports it, Avanti delivers it. Where it doesn't, Avanti's clinicians apply the same standard of rigour to individual assessment and program design. Two licensed programs are live. A third is coming.

Onero® - licensed bone-health training with published evidence for people with low bone mass.

Onero® is a licensed, supervised high intensity resistance and impact training program developed at Griffith University. The research behind it was named a Top 5 "Attention Grabbing Paper" by the Journal of Bone Mineral Research, and is now supported by eight peer-reviewed publications including the LIFTMOR Randomised Controlled Trial.

Over 74% of participants gained lumbar spine bone density after 12 months of supervised training.

Staying Well at Home - support for mild low mood, loneliness and adjustment in older adults.

Developed by Avanti's OT team in response to a gap identified across Support at Home assessments, this structured three-session in-home program supports older adults experiencing mild low mood, loneliness, grief, and adjustment difficulties.

Strengths-based, activity-focused, and delivered by trained OTs already working with the client, it sits in the space between "doing okay" and formal mental health services, where early intervention matters most.

Clinical assessment technology

Progress measured, not estimated.

Avanti uses VALD technology for clinical assessment and outcome monitoring - the same platform used by elite sporting organisations and research institutions worldwide. It gives Avanti's Exercise Physiologists objective, repeatable data on strength, force output, balance and functional capacity.

For participants

Your baseline is established with precision at the start. Your progress is tracked against real numbers throughout - not clinical impression.

For referrers

Reports carry objective clinical data - force output, asymmetry ratios, before-and-after comparisons - that stand up to scrutiny from GPs, specialists and funding bodies.

Multi-discipline care

Most people don't arrive knowing which discipline they need.

Avanti brings exercise physiology, occupational therapy and speech pathology into one practice - which matters most when needs overlap, change over time, or aren't clear at the start. One enquiry, one intake conversation, and the right clinician confirmed before any appointment is set.

For an NDIS participant whose goals evolve

A participant with goals spanning functional capacity and daily living may need both EP and OT. One Avanti enquiry identifies both early - no separate providers, no repeating the same story twice.

For an older adult at home after a change

A fall or hospital stay may require OT for home safety and equipment, EP for the restorative care or active life pathway, and care coordination through Avanza Care. Because Avanti is the clinical arm behind Avanza, all of that sits within one relationship.

For a child with overlapping needs

A child presenting with developmental delays may need both occupational therapy and speech pathology. One intake conversation identifies both early - no separate referrals, no starting over with a second provider.

Avanti also works alongside GPs, care coordinators, NDIS planners and support coordinators - the intake process is designed to capture referral context early, so the first contact with your patient or participant is informed, not introductory.

For GPs and referrers · Referral confidence

What you can tell your patient about Avanti.

Avanti's clinicians are AHPRA-registered and ESSA-accredited where relevant. Every service begins with a clinical assessment - nothing proceeds until a clinician has confirmed suitability. Funding is confirmed at intake, and reporting is available to referring practitioners on request.
